Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the diaspora have
declared their full support for Nana Addo ahead of Sunday’s special
congress.
“They voted in the United States 93 percent, 99.5 percent in Germany and 92 percent in the UK. So this means that all three votes from this foreign branches have declared their support for Nana Addo”, Mustapha Hamid, Spokersperson for Nana Addo revealed.
Delegates of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) will cast their votes at a special congress on Sunday, August 31 to prune the number of presidential hopefuls from seven to five.
The seven aspirants vying for 5 slots of the party includes; the 2008 and 2012 presidential candidate of the party , Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a former minister , Mr Alan Kwadjo Kyerematen, MP for Mampong, Mr Francis Addai Nimoh and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former Minister.
All aspirants are currently on tour around the country campaigning.
